Paul Huff
The Man with CouragePaul Huff was raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, and he joined the army in June of 1941. While he was serving in the army in 1944, he got caught in a battle in Italy. In this battle, his group came under intense fire from a machine gun entrenchment. With courage, Paul Huff sprinted through a minefield and crawled 150 yards under direct fire to kill the enemy crew and destroy the gun. After the battle, he then led his men back to safety and used the information he gained during the fighting to route the enemy force of 125 men(WBIR). With this act of courage, he received the Medal of Honor 3 months later in 1944.

He was always a modest and private man, but he could make anybody laugh and was generally liked by most people he met. He was a poor boy from Bradley County who rose to become regarded as one of America's best warriors, walked with Presidents, and brought undeniable credit to the American solider - not to mention his contribution to the Tennessee military tradition. He truly led a life of honor and loyalty and it was something he commanded from others. His death in 1994 was mourned by everyone who new him.
